Best places to put an armoire in your home

The armoire has always been synonymous to versatility. It can function as a storage area, as a workplace or workstation, or as a decorative piece. Also, you can store anything in your armoire – wardrobe, jewelry, computer, china and anything else you can think of. You can put it anywhere in the house, and still it will not be out of place. In fact, the armoire enhances the room it is placed in because of its ornate and stylish design.

The armoire was first designed as a standing closet used for storing clothes, armors and swords in the 17^th century.  From then on, it evolved into a piece that can be used in many ways – from a wardrobe armoire to an office armoire. Definitely, it is the most useful piece of furniture you will ever own.  And here are some ideas where you can put your armoire in your home:

Bedroom

The armoire is simply perfect for storing clothes, wardrobes, beddings and pillows. It can also store any clutter you will have in your bedroom like bags, purses, magazines and stuffed toys. You can also transform your armoire into a make-up center where you have the mirror at the center and your beauty products, make- up kit and lipstick stored in different places of the armoire – all within reach when you need them.

Living Room

The armoire can be your entertainment hub where you can place your TV, DVD player, speakers, CDs and DVDs. You can also place your game consoles like Play Station, Xbox and Wii in the armoire so they will be near the TV. Your armoire can be a place where you place your memorabilia and your various collections that you want to show off to your guests. It can also act as your book shelf too.

Dining Room

You can place an armoire in your dining room where you can store all your expensive china, silverware, crystal glasses, kitchenware, and tableware. You can also store food ingredients, canned goods, bottled jams and other dry goods. You can stash your child’s toys in the armoire after he is done playing with them. Also, you can store dolls, toys, or stuffed animals in your armoire. You can convert it into a study area. Just place a study lamp so that he can study even when the lights are off, and add some shelves for the books and magazines, and trays or drawers where they can put their pens, art supplies and other school supplies.
